Covid-19 policy and the changes we have made at Bank House

It is fair to the say that the world of hospitality has changed significantly since Mid-March 2020.  At Bank House we are looking forward to welcoming guests back in 2021 just as soon as circumstances allow

Inevitably we have made some changes to the business which we hope will help to encourage guests to come back to enjoy the Shropshire Hills and the beautiful market town of Bishop's Castle.

We have always taken cleaning seriously at Bank House but we have put a few extra measures in place to reduce the risks to our guests and to ourselves:

​

• Reducing the chance of the virus coming to Bank House by asking anyone with any symptoms of Covid-19 within fourteen days of their booking to cancel their booking a reschedule free of charge. (see additional information on our policy below)

• Respecting social distancing without being anti-social.  We’ll still be around to meet and greet you but keeping a two metre distance and wearing a mask when serving breakfasts to B&B guests

• if you are staying with us on a B&B basis we will ask you to select a time slot for breakfast so we can ensure social distancing in the dining room and clean and prepare each table between sittings.

• We have suspended our daily room tidy during B&B stays so we won’t enter your bedroom while you are here.  We will still keep you supplied with clean crockery and other fresh supplies as required.

• Offering contact free check in for self catering bookings if you prefer this  - with access to keys via the key safe.  We can also arrange to meet and greet as usual and can be contacted throughout your stay via text, phone or WhatsApp. 

• Maintaining a gap of 24 hours between bookings where possible - this will allow additional time for cleaning and airing rooms

• Providing hand sanitiser in public areas.  We ask you to use this on entering and leaving the building.  We don’t provide facemasks so please bring your own and wear these when walking through public areas of the house.

• We have been successful in meeting the Good to Go Industry Standard - this is an initiative to show that businesses are following guidelines on cleanliness and social distancing.
